Referring to Problem and Exercise 5, rank the four candidates for the database administrator position at Metro Marketing. Again, support your rankings.

The solution to the problem

Database Administrator

The process of a database administrator is very technical, responsible for managing the database user within the organization. The database administrator has the responsibility to create the physical design of the database. The database administrator deals with technical concerns like the database's performance, backup the data from the database, defense enforcement, and recovering the lost data from the database.

The following candidates are ranked for the position of database administrator at Metro Marketing:

Rank 1: Gerald Brewster

Gerald Brewster is the most preferred candidate for the position of the database administrator. This is because he is a senior database administrator. His experience with the marketing-oriented database is more appropriate for the organization, which is required to maintain marketing information.

Rank 2: Jim Reedy

Jim Reddy is the next preferred candidate for the position of the database administrator. This is because he has the technical knowledge and well-known with Metro’s current systems environment.

Rank 3: Monica Lopez
